A few months ago, I found myself at a turning point—faced with a decision between staying where I was comfortable or stepping into something I felt called to do. In that season, I came to faith in Jesus Christ, and since then, my understanding of what it means to follow Him has changed completely. What was once abstract has become active, and I’ve begun to sense a clear call not just to grow in faith, but to live it out in a tangible way.

Over the past several months, a series of relationships and opportunities have come together in a way I cannot ignore. What initially felt like coincidence has become something much clearer—an invitation to step into something specific. Through prayer and counsel, I’ve come to believe I am being called not only to grow in my faith where I am, but to step out and serve in a more active way.

From August through November, I will be traveling to Santa Rosa del Aguaray in the San Pedro region of Paraguay to serve with Misión por Compasión. This ministry works in a rural, underserved area, caring for children from difficult backgrounds by providing housing, education, discipleship, and practical life skills through a Christ-centered approach.

During my time there, I will primarily be serving through cooking for the community, while also supporting childcare and stepping into teaching roles as needed. With a background in Spanish, I’m able to connect more directly with the people I’ll be serving—what once felt like a skill without a clear purpose now feels like something I’ve been entrusted with to serve others.

As I prepare to go, I want to invite you into this with me. I don’t see this as something I am doing alone, but as an opportunity to participate together in what God is doing—both in going and in sending.

I am working to raise $6,000, which will cover travel, living expenses while I am away, and resources to support needs on the ground in Paraguay. This support allows me to step away fully, serve faithfully, and return home in a stable position.
