Vardy-Blackwater VFD Insurance and Brush Truck

Vardy-Blackwater Volunteer Fire Department is a volunteer department raising funds to help pay for yearly insurance for our firefighters, fire apparatus, and building. We are also trying to raise funds for a brush truck to serve our rural area. The Vardy-Blackwater Volunteer Fire Department is a dedicated team of twelve volunteers serving the rural mountain communities of Hancock County, Tennessee. Since our founding, we’ve been committed to protecting lives and property across a 67-square-mile first-due response area and a 252-square-mile secondary response area. Combined, we serve over 12,000 residents. As a 100% volunteer department with no paid staff. The rural area we serve receives all funding through grants and fundraisers, so your support makes a real difference. Our team handles a variety of emergencies, including structure fires, vehicle fires, wildland brush fires, and motor vehicle accidents. We provide fire suppression, emergency medical assistance in support of EMS, and specialized rescue operations. We also support neighboring departments through mutual aid agreements. Despite our limited resources, we maintain professional standards and strong community trust. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
