Our hearts at ACCTS are heavy as we share the heartbreaking news that Mirembe (Peace) Favor Wandera, the precious preschool-aged daughter of ACCTS staff member Jude Wandera and his wife, died suddenly last weekend after a very brief illness.
Mirembe became ill with vomiting and diarrhea, and Jude and his wife took her to the hospital on Friday. Jude then continued on to South Africa for an ACCTS mission trip, only to receive the devastating news that his little daughter had died.
There are no words adequate to express the pain of losing a child so suddenly. Please pray for Jude, his wife, and their family—that the Lord will surround them with His comfort and give them strength in the days ahead.
We are also asking ACCTS staff, board members, and others who feel led to help provide financial assistance toward the expenses of Mirembe’s funeral and burial. Any gift, large or small, would be a tangible expression of love and support for Jude and his family during this incredibly difficult time.
And we cling to the hope we have in Christ. Scripture promises that one day, God “will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain” (Revelation 21:4). Please join us in praying for the Wandera family and, if you are able, helping them bear the financial burden of this loss.- Elizabeth, for the ACCTS Team
