This book was born out of obedience.

I am a wife and a mom of four children, currently expecting our fifth. Over the past several years, God has been gently — and sometimes uncomfortably — inviting me to examine the areas of my life I claimed as my own: my plans, my body, my fertility, and my sense of autonomy. What began as a personal reckoning slowly became something I could not keep to myself.

Surrender is a faith-based book that explores what it means to entrust even the most intimate parts of our lives to God — especially fertility, control, and the belief that our bodies ultimately belong to us. It also asks a harder, often avoided question: What are the hidden costs of not surrendering?

The book looks honestly at how modern approaches to control — including birth control — have shaped not only our bodies, but our hearts, our marriages, our expectations, and even our understanding of freedom. It gently challenges the idea that autonomy always leads to peace, and invites readers to consider how fear, control, and cultural pressure can quietly distance us from trust in God.

Written with compassion and humility, Surrender makes room for women carrying loss, medical complexity, infertility, trauma, and uncertainty. It is not about condemnation or simplistic answers, but about truth offered with grace, and an invitation to prayerful discernment.

I am raising funds to help cover the professional costs required to bring this book into the world, including editing, production, and publishing expenses. Saying yes to this project has required faith at every step, and I’m inviting others to partner with me in bringing it to completion.

How the Funds Will Be Used
I believe in transparency, and I want supporters to know exactly how their generosity will be used. Funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward the professional costs required to bring Called to Surrender from manuscript to published book:

• $6,200 — Professional book editing by a Christian editor, bringing the manuscript to publication-ready quality

• $3,700 — Typesetting, formatting, cover design, website setup, keyword creation, and author bio development

• $300 — ISBN barcodes required for publication and ordering the first printed copies

Project Timeline
