On September 10, we lost our friend Patrick Flander after he suffered a devastating brain bleed. Tragically, Patrick passed away on his 49th birthday. His sudden loss has left his family and friends heartbroken.
Many of us knew Patrick through Ambit Energy, where we were part of a close-knit family for more than 10 years. We weren’t just people working together—we built friendships and shared years of our lives. Patrick was part of that family, and losing him is deeply painful.
I’m starting this fundraiser because the funds needed to lay Patrick to rest are not available, and his family needs our help. While grieving this unexpected loss, his brother Tom and the Flander family are also facing the difficult task of arranging his Celebration of Life and burial.
The purpose of this campaign is simple: to help give Patrick a loving, dignified farewell and ease the financial burden on his family. Funds raised will go toward his Celebration of Life, burial, and other final arrangements.
I’m reaching out to our Ambit family, Patrick’s friends, and anyone who would like to support the Flander family during this heartbreaking time. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help. We cannot take away their grief, but we can help make sure they do not have to face these expenses alone.
