I am raising financial support to help fund my tuition expenses at Tokyo Christian University, where I am studying theology and biblical languages in preparation for Christian ministry in Japan. My goal after graduation is to be actively engaged in ministry through evangelism, teaching, discipleship, and serving the various needs of the church in Japan.
I am proficient in Japanese and have passed the JLPT N1 certification. I am currently studying theology in a Japanese-speaking environment alongside Japanese students and professors, which is giving me valuable preparation for serving the church in Japan.
I am also an active member of my local church and currently work part-time at a rock-climbing gym. However, my income is primarily enough to cover my basic living expenses, such as food and transportation, while my tuition remains a significant financial need. My annual tuition fee is $11,300. At the same time, I am paying $150 monthly to pay off my student debt from when I studied at Temple University Japan Campus. TUJ is where I spent my first two years in Japan and also where I was able to vastly improve my Japanese abilities.
I would be very Happy if you would consider partnering with me through financial support and, most importantly, through prayer. Thank you for taking the time to learn about me and my ministry and for considering supporting me as I prepare to serve Japan for Christ. If you are interested in supporting me and my plan for ministry in Japan, I would be happy to schedule an online meeting with you. You can contact me at my email: matthewlamay16@gmail.com.
