Our Family’s Journey
Dear Friends, family, and believers
In obedience to a calling to serve, our family made the life-changing decision to relocate to North Africa. We moved here with a deep desire to be a practical light and a source of hope to vulnerable communities. Living in a major international hub has opened our eyes to the immense challenges faced by displaced peoples and refugees who have been forced to flee their homelands.
The Mission: Educational Resource Outreach
Right now, our core focus is providing educational resources, language tools, and literacy support to locals, displaced individuals, and refugee families. Many of these families are navigating the trauma of displacement, and access to basic learning tools is one of their greatest practical needs. Additionally, we are stepping in to support local initiatives that provide community development resources to individuals who are rebuilding their lives from the ground up.
Because this type of specialized relational work requires deep trust, we move and work intentionally while balancing our focused outreach efforts with the daily reality of managing our home, adapting to a complex culture, and raising our son in a foreign environment. We believe that building a healthy, stable home here is the very foundation that allows us to step out and serve others effectively.
Our Current Work & Why We Need Your Partnership
To help plant roots and cover our basic living costs, we are currently working as English teachers at a local language school run by local believers. While we are incredibly grateful for this community and the opportunity to teach, the demanding hours of full-time teaching consume the vital time and mental energy we desperately want to pour into expanding our refugee educational materials and sitting down with families.
We are launching this fund to invite you to partner with our presence and daily mission here. By supporting our family financially, you are directly enabling us to shift our focus from survival employment toward our primary calling. Your partnership helps us:
- Cover basic family living and housing costs so we can focus more intentionally on ministry.
- Develop, print, and distribute high-quality educational and literacy materials.
- Provide direct humanitarian relief and learning resources to displaced individuals.
A Note on Safety & Updates
Because of the highly sensitive nature of working with displaced families and refugees in this region, we cannot post public ministry updates or photos on this page. Your safety and the safety of those we serve are our highest priorities.
However, we want you to be part of the journey! When you give, your email will be added to our private, monthly newsletter list where we will share personal family updates and stories of how your generosity is making a difference 🙏🏻
Thank you for standing with our family in prayer, love, and financial partnership as we serve in the North Africa/Middle East!
