Hi my name is Annie Cheffers and I'm starting this fundraiser for the Godfrey family. As many friends and family already know Joseph (age 14) has been dealing with a high grade brain tumor for nearly 18 months. Throughout his treatments and hospital visits Joseph has continued to bring joy (and the surrender novena!) to many people! Until recently he was running races, going to summer camp, and taking on his freshman year at Gregory Great Academy. As Joseph's tumor progresses and his body is growing weary we ask for prayers for God's Divine Will, Plan and Purpose in Joseph's life to be lived out to the fullest and bring Him great glory! We do not know what the future holds but we trust in God's loving-kindess to provide all that Joseph and the Godfrey family needs. He has recently started a new trial drug called the Ave Maria 0703, we pray that this helps shrink his tumor!
At this point the Godfrey family really would like the gift of time together, which makes things tricky as Leo is a senior at GGA and they often are commuting from home, Boston Children's, and Pennsylvania. I would love to lighten the load from the financial burdens by raising some money to make coming and staying in Pennsylvania easier for them.
Having lost our son Nathan in October of 2024 I can't express enough how helpful it was to us to have so many people praying for us and financially supporting us as Natey was sick. I would love to be able to do the same for the Godfreys. I imagine them being able stay in an airbnb when they come to PA and it will be a place where the Godfrey boys can watch Marvel movies, eat bbq chicken pizza (Joseph's favorite food), laugh, cry, and spend time with each other in these tender days.
