God has opened the door for our family to take our first short-term mission trip together! Next May, we will spend a week serving in northern Chile as part of a multi-year partnership between the Kentucky Baptist Convention and churches in Arica. A key focus of this trip will be helping lay the groundwork for a Baptist Campus Ministry (BCM) at a local university.
We will serve alongside 25 college students from Northern Kentucky University and Morehead State University BCM. For many of these students, this will be their first overseas mission trip. When Lindsay participated in this trip last year, she witnessed the students' boldness in sharing their faith and saw how the experience gave them a fresh understanding of God's heart for the nations. They returned home with a renewed vision for how they could support global missions through ongoing prayer, generosity, and long-term involvement.
Our team will use spiritual surveys and English conversation classes to build relationships with local university students and create opportunities for meaningful gospel conversations. We will also work alongside Chilean believers who study and work on campus, helping them develop a plan to establish a BCM at their university.
Beyond the campus, we will serve in five local churches, helping strengthen youth ministries, engage surrounding communities, lead conferences, and teach.
With our experience in college ministry and Spanish language skills, we believe this is a unique opportunity for our family to serve together overseas while investing in the next generation of Christian leaders.
Would you prayerfully consider partnering with our family through prayer and financial support? Your partnership will help make this trip possible and support the ongoing ministry taking place in Chile.
