I am excited to share that I have been given the opportunity to
participate in a school missions trip to the Dominican Republic in
January 2027. Jesus calls His followers to, 'Go therefore and make
disciples of all nations' (Matthew 28:19), and I am grateful for the
opportunity to take part in that mission.
During this trip, our team will serve local communities through
outreach, ministry opportunities, and acts of compassion. Matthew
5:16 reminds us, 'Let your light so shine before men, that they may see
your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.' We hope
to serve in a way that reflects Christ's love and brings glory to God.
As I prepare for this journey, Isaiah 6:8 has become very meaningful to
me: 'Here am I; send me.' At church camp this year, this verse was our
theme and challenged us to be like Isaiah. When the Lord asked,
'Whom shall I send?' Isaiah responded, 'Send me, I'll go.' This mission
trip is an opportunity for me to answer that same call, step out in faith,
serve others, and share the love of Christ. My prayer is that God will
continue to grow my faith, use me to encourage others, and allow me
to be a light for Him in the Dominican Republic.
I am raising financial support to help cover travel, lodging, meals, and
ministry-related expenses. If God leads you to partner with me, I would
be deeply grateful. Philippians 4:19 reminds us, 'But my God shall
supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.'
No gift is too small, and every contribution helps make this opportunity
possible.
Most importantly, please pray that God will prepare our team, provide
for our needs, keep us safe during travel, and work in the hearts of
those we will meet. Colossians 3:17 encourages us to do everything 'in
the name of the Lord Jesus.' That is how we desire to serve.
Thank you for your encouragement, prayers, and support. Whether
through giving, praying, or sharing this flyer, you are partnering in this
mission. As Galatians 6:9 says, 'Let us not be weary in well doing: for
in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.'
Blessings,
Josiah Workman
