On September 3rd, Nick is headed off to Nelson, New Zealand. Nelson is located on the Northern most part of the South Island. There is a YWAM base set on a beautiful campus nestled in the Tasman Bay.
The first three months of the Discipleship Training School will be the learning portion of the Adventure. Partnering with leadership, and his fellow students; he will sharpen his knowledge of God’s Word, and will get trained for the mission field. They will spend time in the classroom, and also in outreach on the streets of Nelson. "The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge." Proverbs 18:15
In November, Nick will be heading out for three months with his teammates to another country to do outreach. As the spirit leads him into this next chapter of discipleship training he will be challenged to adapt, and exercise his purpose in the mission field.
“I have been asking God what is next for a while. I tried to keep my ear open, however sometimes it feels impossible in a world that moves so quickly. The fear of failure set heavy on me, that if I sat in a time of waiting I would never get the call, and never explore my purpose. When I sought Him for what was next He answered with a verse. Galatians 2:2 “I went in response to a revelation and, meeting privately with those esteemed as leaders, I presented to them the gospel that I preach among the Gentiles. I wanted to be sure I was not running and had not been running my race in vain.” It spoke directly to my fear, and put truth in it. That if I surrender those fears and worries to him. He will always provide a future of purpose, and a life spent honoring that call.”
Nick has been diligently saving, and he has much of the money needed for the mission, yet he is still in need of financial support for especially the outreach portion of the mission. Please pray about coming alongside Nick as he steps out in faith in this exciting season of his life. He is also in need of a team of of people to pray for him.
