Help Me Take the Next Step in My Vocation!
For the past several years, I have been discerning a call to belong entirely to Jesus through consecrated life. A year ago, I made private promises to live as a consecrated woman in the world, and through much prayer, spiritual direction, and discernment, the Lord has continued to confirm this call in my heart.
This summer, I had the great blessing of discerning with a new religious community in Ireland and making the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius for the first time. It was a beautiful time of grace and confirmation! I continue to feel that the Lord is calling me to give my life in service to the Church, especially to the youth and the poor. One possibility I am prayerfully exploring is serving the Church in Ireland as a consecrated woman.
As I continue to pursue consecrated life, one of the greatest obstacles I face is the debt I have accumulated from school and medical expenses over the years. I suffer from a couple of chronic health conditions, which have brought their own challenges and financial burdens.
While organizations such as the Labouré Society do beautiful work helping individuals overcome debt to pursue their religious vocations, due to current life circumstances, I am unable to apply for their assistance at this time. This leaves me in a difficult position as I actively pursue consecrated life but do not have access to the fundraising assistance.
Additionally, my mom recently experienced a medical emergency, and my family is navigating what the future looks like. This has brought an even greater desire to be available to her while continuing to follow the Lord's call.
Freedom from this debt would be a tremendous gift, allowing me to be more present to my family, make discernment visits, pursue missionary opportunities, and continue taking steps toward consecrated life without this financial burden standing in the way.
I am asking for your help, first and foremost through your prayers, but also through sharing this fundraiser or contributing if you are able. Any gift, no matter how small, would be a great blessing!
This journey has been filled with both great peace and great suffering, but through it all, the Lord has been so faithful. I am deeply grateful for the many ways He has cared for me through the generosity and friendship of others.
Thank you for helping me take the next step in following His call. Freedom from this debt would truly be a long-awaited answer to prayer.
Peace and All Good,
Mary Molloy
