Our Mission Trip to Puerto Rico

This spring, my son Caleb and I will be joining Harrisburg Christian School’s senior class on a mission trip to Puerto Rico. For Caleb and his classmates, this is a chance to live out their growing faith in a tangible way—serving others and sharing the love of Christ beyond the classroom. For me personally, this will be my very first missions trip, and I am praying it will be a deeply meaningful experience that allows me to put my beliefs into action.

While in Puerto Rico, we will partner with a local orphanage to bring joy and hope to children who need it most. Our team will lead Vacation Bible School activities, dramas, songs, and games designed to teach these children about the love of Jesus in a way that is fun and memorable. In addition to ministering to the kids, we will also assist with construction projects that will help improve the orphanage’s facilities. It’s a hands-on opportunity to serve both spiritually and practically—meeting needs and building relationships that reflect Christ’s heart.

By God’s grace, we have already been able to fully self-fund this trip. But we would still be grateful for your support in any form—through prayers, a note of encouragement, or even wisdom and advice as we prepare. Every prayer strengthens us, and every word of encouragement spurs us onward.
