I am setting up this fundraiser for a Justice For HeeHaw billboard in Georgia, as requested by many in the Justice For HeeHaw Community. The billboard company has given a quote for several locations, with digital and static billboards. The most affordable option is a static billboard at approximately $1,600 per month. I have set the goal at $4,800 so we can plan for 3 months.
Funds raised will help cover billboard costs only. I am volunteering my time to coordinate this effort. If more funds are raised, I will extend the billboard further out and keep it up as long as funds allow, and we can get more billboards. There are other digital billboards available but these cost $3,000 per month (every 4 weeks).
The billboard must be peaceful advocacy, but our message will be heard loud and clear. After consulting with legal counsel, it was suggested the design should feature an image with #Justice For HeeHaw and possibly the words 'His Life Mattered.' It could also say Justice For HeeHaw -- We're Gonna Change The Law. I am open to a vote--it just needs to stay peaceful. Once a final design is approved, I will again consult with legal counsel, and make sure the design is ok to move forward with.
I will be transparent. I plan to share screenshots of the fundraiser, how much was raised, and invoices from the billboard company throughout the process.
