Supporting Paul Mendes' Wife and Children
Over Labor Day weekend, Paul Mendes tragically lost his life in a boating accident. His sudden passing has left his wife and four children facing an unimaginable loss and a future they never expected to navigate without him.
Paul was a husband and a father, and his family's future—especially that of his children—was incredibly important to him. Today, two of Paul's children are attending college, while his two younger children are still in high school. In addition to coping with the loss of their dad, they now face years of important milestones, educational expenses, and life changes without him there beside them.
Those of us who knew and cared about Paul have created this fundraiser to help provide his wife and children with some of the financial security and support they will need in the years ahead. Our hope is to help Paul's children continue pursuing their education and the opportunities he wanted for them, while easing some of the financial responsibility that now falls solely on his wife.
The funds raised will help with college tuition and education-related expenses for his older children, future college and educational costs for his younger children, and other longer-term needs that will help provide stability for the family as they move forward.
There is no way to replace a husband or a father, and no amount of money can lessen the loss this family is experiencing. But as friends, family, and members of the community, we can come alongside them and help make sure that Paul's children continue to have the opportunities, education, and support that he would have wanted for them.
