Hi friends this is Bob. I am currently incarcerated and fighting several legal battles that affect my freedom, my health, my family, and the reputation I have spent years working to rebuild.

This campaign is about more than court cases. It is about truth, faith, redemption, justice, and the belief that no person’s life should be reduced forever to a criminal label or a headline.

I am asking for your financial help. I am also asking Christians across America to pray for me, share my story, examine the evidence for themselves, and stand with someone who is trying to keep his faith while fighting from inside a federal prison.

How This Began

My father, Robert Henry Rivernider Sr., was a United States Navy veteran and a strong supporter of President Donald Trump. He died from Fauci’s COVID-related causes on October 19, 2020.

His vote-by-mail ballot had been delivered to him on October 1 while he was alive. The return envelope was dated October 16—also while he was alive. It was

postmarked October 23, four days after his death. The Supervisor of Elections rejected it. His vote was never counted. No election result was changed.

Yet almost three years later, I was prosecuted and convicted in Florida. The public was repeatedly told a simple story: Bob Rivernider voted his dead father’s ballot. I maintain that I did not. The actual trial record is far more complicated than the headline.

The State called only three witnesses. Not one testified that he or she personally saw me put my father’s envelope in the mail. The handwriting examiner would not conclusively identify me as the writer of the disputed signature. There remain unanswered questions about who possessed the materials after my father became seriously ill, who ultimately mailed the envelope, who wrote “DECEASED” on it, and how the original physical evidence was handled. The prosecution also repeatedly blurred the distinction between the ballot and the return envelope—they are not the same thing. No vote was counted.

The Consequences Have Been Extraordinary

The original Florida judge sentenced me to 180 days, finding a much harsher guideline sentence grossly disproportionate in this nonviolent case involving no personal or economic injury. The State appealed. The convictions were affirmed, but the six-month sentence was reversed. I now face Florida resentencing exposure that could reach 15 years. I continue seeking relief in the courts.

The Florida case was also used against me in federal supervised-release proceedings. I received a 36-month federal revocation sentence even though the advisory range was only 3 to 9 months. I am fighting that sentence, pursuing habeas relief, seeking missing and disputed records, pursuing administrative remedies, and asking for presidential clemency.

Fighting government cases from a prison camp without ordinary access to records, attorneys, computers, investigators, and financial resources is extremely difficult. I also have serious heart disease. I suffered a heart attack and underwent open-heart surgery. Repeated transport through detention facilities while dealing with a significant cardiac history has made this fight urgent.

My Faith and the GodCast

I am a Christian. My faith does not mean I claim to have lived a perfect life. Christianity teaches the opposite—that all of us need grace, forgiveness, repentance, and redemption.

I have a prior federal conviction. I served approximately 80 months before receiving compassionate release in 2020. I am not asking anyone to pretend that history does not exist. I am asking people to understand that a conviction is not the entirety of a human being’s life.

After my release I went back to work, lived with family, became active in my community, worked in politics, volunteered in the community and tried to rebuild. Then the new headline appeared and has followed me ever since.

During this difficult period my faith has become increasingly important. Before my present incarceration I began sharing that faith publicly through a Christian program I call the “GodCast on the BobCast,” published through my Substack: http://bobriver.substack.com

If I am released, I intend to continue the GodCast and expand that ministry. I want my remaining years to have purpose—talking about God, faith, redemption, the lessons learned from suffering, and what lasts when worldly success, politics, money, and reputation prove temporary.

Why did no witness testify that they saw me mail it? Why were other election defendants offered diversion? Why did my political beliefs and ideology become part of governmental advocacy concerning my punishment? And most importantly: What does justice require now?
