Help a Young Widow Raise Her Two Little Girls
In March 2025, my life changed forever when my husband, Cody, unexpectedly passed away. Our daughters were just 4 years old and 10 months old.
I never imagined I would have to raise our girls without their dad. I have had to learn how to keep going for them while navigating grief, single motherhood, and all of the responsibilities that come with raising two young children on my own.
Our girls are growing up quickly. My oldest is now almost 6, and my youngest is 2. They are at ages where they need so much—childcare, clothing, food, medical care, activities, school expenses, and simply the everyday things that come with raising children.
I am working and doing everything I can to provide for them. But being a single parent without Cody means that there is only one income, one person handling the household, and one person carrying the financial responsibilities that we once shared.
The support we received through this fundraiser after Cody’s death meant more to us than I can put into words. It gave me breathing room during a time when I was simply trying to survive and keep our daughters safe and cared for.
As time has passed, those funds have helped with the enormous expenses of rebuilding our lives. I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has already helped us.
I am keeping this fundraiser open because raising two children alone is an ongoing journey—not something that ended after the funeral.
If you are able to contribute, even a small amount would help us with the everyday expenses of raising our girls and giving them the stable, happy childhood they deserve.
And if you aren’t able to donate, sharing our story with someone who might be willing to help means just as much.
Most importantly, thank you for remembering Cody and for caring about our girls. I will spend the rest of my life making sure they know how deeply their dad loved them.
With gratitude,
Trina
