She spent her time helping someone else rebuild. Now it’s our turn to help her find a safe place to land.
I’m raising this campaign for Dr. Courtney Leong, someone who is much more than a friend to me. She is a close friend, business partner, mentor, and, in many ways, like a sister to me. She is one of the people who has had a profound impact on my life.
Courtney is the kind of person who shows up.
When someone she cared about was going through an incredibly difficult and traumatic chapter of their life, Courtney stepped in. She gave her time, energy, resources, knowledge, and support to help that person navigate an experience no one should have to face alone.
She didn't do it because she expected something in return.
She did it because she believed someone needed help—and she was willing to be there.
A personal message from Victoria
I wanted to personally share why Courtney means so much to me and why I'm asking you to help her.
Sometimes the problems feel too big to do anything about.
When we see trauma, homelessness, financial hardship, abuse, or other overwhelming circumstances, it's easy to feel powerless.
We might think:
What could I possibly do?
The problems can feel so complicated and so large that unless we can solve everything, we feel like there is nothing meaningful we can do at all.
Courtney didn't think that way.
She couldn't solve everything. She didn't have all the answers. She couldn't change everything that had happened.
But she could help the person in front of her.
So she took the next right step.
And then another.
She gave what she could. She showed up. She helped someone navigate an incredibly difficult chapter and worked to help that person find safety, stability, and a path forward.
In the process, Courtney's own financial and housing stability became increasingly difficult.
Now, Courtney is the person who needs someone to take the next right step for her.
We're raising $10,000
Our goal is to raise $10,000 to help Courtney secure stable housing for the next three months and give her the breathing room she needs to rebuild.
The funds will be used for:
- $7,600 toward an RV that will serve as Courtney's home
- $1,800 for RV-site fees covering September, October, and November
- $300 toward registration, title, and initial RV-related expenses
- $300 toward basic housing and setup necessities
Total: $10,000
This isn't about giving someone a luxury.
It's about giving someone a place to live, a little breathing room, and the opportunity to focus on rebuilding without the immediate uncertainty of where she'll be living.
If we exceed our $10,000 goal, additional funds will help Courtney continue developing and sharing her work in trauma-informed care, including her educational programs and FOTIC Mapping.
Why Courtney?
I know Courtney personally.
I've experienced her generosity, mentorship, and willingness to invest in other people firsthand. She's been someone I could turn to for guidance, perspective, and encouragement. She's challenged me to grow and has believed in me even when I wasn't sure of myself.
Courtney isn't just someone I'm asking you to help. She's family to me.
She's someone I've watched give so much of herself to other people, and I want to make sure she knows that she has people willing to show up for her, too.
I've also watched her extend that same generosity to others.
That's why this campaign is so important to me.
When someone is willing to pour so much of themselves into helping another person through an incredibly difficult situation, I believe we should be willing to come together when that person needs help, too.
I'm intentionally not sharing the private details of the person Courtney helped because their story belongs to them. Their privacy and dignity matter.
But I can tell you what I've witnessed in Courtney:
She showed up.
She gave when it was difficult.
She helped when it would have been easier to step away.
And now she needs people willing to show up for her.
You don't have to solve everything.
This campaign isn't asking anyone to solve Courtney's entire life.
It's asking us to help with the next right step.
Maybe your next right step is a donation.
Maybe it's sharing this campaign with someone who can help.
Maybe it's telling someone else about Courtney and the difference she's made in your life.
Maybe it's learning from the work Courtney has created and supporting her directly through one of her educational offerings.
Whatever you are able to do, you can do something.
Because that's how meaningful change happens.
One person.
One act of support.
One next right step at a time.
❤️ Give
Your donation goes toward Courtney's immediate housing needs and helps us reach the $10,000 goal.
Whether it's $10, $25, $50, $100, or more, every contribution brings Courtney closer to having a stable place to live.
You don't have to be able to give a large amount to make a difference. A lot of people giving what they can is how we reach this goal.
And if you can't donate right now, sharing this campaign is just as valuable.
One share could put Courtney's story in front of someone we would never otherwise reach.
Help Courtney find a safe place to land
Our immediate goal is $10,000.
That money represents more than an RV and three months of site fees.
It represents stability.
It represents time to breathe.
It represents a chance to rebuild.
And it represents a community saying to someone who has spent so much time helping others:
You don't have to do this alone.
If you can donate, thank you.
If you can share, thank you.
If Courtney has ever helped you, encouraged you, taught you, mentored you, or simply been there when you needed someone, I ask you to consider showing up for her now.
You don't have to fix everything.
You don't have to have all the answers.
You don't have to solve the entire problem.
Just take the next right step.
And right now, the next right step is helping Courtney find a safe place to land.
She spent her time helping someone else rebuild. Now it’s our turn to help her find a safe place to land.
With love and gratitude,
Victoria
