We are excited to share that we have a team of a few men and teenagers from our church heading to Ethiopia from October 21-November 1. Providence Community Church has long supported a charity called, I Care Ethiopia, whose objective is to help get begging mothers off the streets and support them by teaching a trade or means to make a living, as well as provide food, childcare, education, and love to their children. We would love to see more support for this mission all the time, however, with this particular trip, we are seeking to raise money for some specific goals. We plan to purchase and deliver mattresses and bedding to 50 moms in the Adama program site, and ideally, if enough funds can be raised, 86 moms at the Addis Ababa program site, as most of them don’t have beds. We also have 2 different construction projects planned to help with 2 homes in extreme disrepair. Lastly, we’d like to arrive with suitcases full of toys for small kids, crayons, markers, coloring books, color by number, group games, balloons, and bubbles. We desire to show up and serve these families with the love of Christ. We would greatly appreciate your tax-deductible donations to assist all that we plan to do, and anything else the Lord lays on our hearts as a great need when we are there. Please take some time to read on the I Care Ethiopia website about their mission, and please ask any of us if you have more questions about the charity or what we plan to accomplish on our trip. http://icareethiopiacharity.com
