Hello family & friends! I have officially committed to serving with Mercy Ships next year for the full field service in Togo, West Africa! I will be serving on the Africa Mercy as the OR Educator from February to December, 2027. You can learn more about Mercy Ships at www.mercyships.org.
Serving with Mercy Ships in a longer term role has been something that I’ve been thinking and praying about for quite a while (as many of you know) and the doors continued to open for this to happen next year. I’m anticipating 2027 will be a year of challenges and learning how to better surrender my plans to the Lord. I’m also eager to experience the blessings and joy that He can provide through this experience. I am so thankful that the Lord continues to provide for me to follow this calling!
I appreciate your prayers and support as I begin to prepare to be in Togo for the majority of next year. Mercy Ships has graciously offered to cover the cost of airfare and room & board for this contract. If you wish to partner with me financially, your donations will go towards expenses back home like health & auto insurance, phone data plans, and travel vaccinations. Expenses while in Togo include toiletry/personal items, occasional meals off the ship, and partnerships with local ministries. Additionally, as a longer term volunteer with Mercy Ships, I will have 2-3 weeks of “PTO” (unpaid) during my service. I hope to fly home to the States at some point between February and December to see friends & family. Any expenses during that time (including airfare) will be my responsibility. Thank you for all the support and prayers over my previous Mercy Ships trips. The Lord has given me incredible peace through the many transitions in this season of life. What a special feeling to be living in what the Lord has called me to! All glory to God!
