🌍💛 Hey friends! I’ve got a story to share—about faith, hope, and something as simple (and powerful) as clean water.

It all started in 1996, when my pastor, Kurt Dahlin, took his very first trip to rural Malawi to drill a water well. Since then, he’s returned year after year through “Africa Outreach,” bringing both the gospel and life-changing resources to remote villages.

This June–July 2026, I’ll be joining the mission! ✈️📖

💧 This year, there’s an urgent, life-or-death focus: cholera.

Malawi has experienced its worst cholera outbreak in history, with:

• Over 58,000 reported cases and 1,700+ deaths in a single outbreak  
• Cholera spreading to all 29 districts nationwide  
• Fatality rates reaching 3%+, triple the global emergency threshold  

Cholera is not complicated—it spreads through contaminated water. In many villages, families rely on unsafe sources like shallow wells, rivers, or standing water, which can quickly become deadly. 

🚰 This is where water wells make a measurable difference:

• Access to clean, protected water sources dramatically reduces exposure to cholera-causing bacteria
• Communities with improved water and sanitation see significant declines in waterborne diseases  
• Simple interventions like clean wells, chlorine treatment, and hygiene supplies have already helped tens of thousands of people in Malawi  
• Unsafe wells (open or shallow) have been directly linked to cholera outbreaks in villages  

In other words:

Clean water isn’t just helpful—it’s one of the most effective ways to stop cholera at its source.

🌱 We’ll be serving among the Yao people—many of whom still lack both reliable clean water and access to the message of Jesus Christ.

It costs $4,500 per team member to cover training, travel, food, lodging, and ministry supplies. That’s where you come in! 🙏

And people hearing the gospel—many for the very first time—through showings of The Jesus Film.

That’s why we go. That’s why every prayer and every dollar matters. ❤️
