**Update**

I just wanted to update everyone on where we are standing on our trip!!
Woot!! Woot!! We should be hitting Galveston around the middle of September.. Depending on how many days we will be at our first planned stops, beforehand!! Which means, Halloween in the South and Haunted Airboat Rides Through the SWAMP!! As far as things to do near Halloween 🎃 in the party state of the U.S.of A! I'm sure that some kinds of festivals are going on around this time of year (along our route)!!👻🎃👻🎉🍻
If any of my family and friends have an idea of a place we may enjoy to stop at, please don't hesitate to contact me and tell me!!
So far this is our traveling plan:
1) Leave Council Grove and go to Pawhuska, OK so my Momma can explore Rea Drummonds' The Pioneer Woman's hometown and go visit her Grandparents's 1920's Farm House Museum🚜!!
Then we will look for a lake around there and have our first night of camping (unfortunately we cannot find or get a camper worked out, so no Glamping will be happening😢...boo...)
2) Head to Tulsa, OK and hope that I can see my sister and her crew!!! I may also have a chance to meet My Donor's Cousin who lives near Tulsa while we are in the area, we plan on camping out at one of the lakes. 🤽♀️ near Tulsa.... to rest up and spend time with my sister and the crew!
3) From Tulsa to Galveston, TX to mainly go to Moody Gardens ... Skye has been wanting to go there since like 3rd grade, she heard about it in school. For me, I am excited to go to the beach and hopefully go swimming 🏊♂️ 🩱🩳, finding seashells to save to do crafts with them for Skye's first apartment (she's on the waiting list)!! Then there's fishing spots all along Galveston that we could do, I'm hoping at least one night of supper will be fresh fish that we caught ourselves!! ((Or find a fish 🐟 market)) 😆 Hahaha. While in Texas I would love to try Wild Boar... cooked over a nice hot campfire!!
4) From Galveston we are going to Shreveport, Louisiana... This stop is mainly for me... I want to try authentic Southern Cuisine. 🍴... I would love to go to a local Mom and Pop spot, and not a chain restaurant. I really want to try a shrimp or crayfish 🦐 boil and finish off the meal with some Beignets!! Skye was wanting to do a Creepy Swampboat 🛶👻 experience, which sounds great to me!!! We were wanting to go to New Orleans, but it just isn't in the budget, unfortunately...
5) From Shreveport we are headed to Murfreesboro, Arkansas to stay a few days at the Crater of Diamonds State Park... Hunt for gems and diamonds for the first day and they have a Waterpark we can go to, to cool off!! This was another one of Skye's decisions, and when I looked online and found more about what they offer... I kinda am excited for the digging!! (Not sure if my body will allow it, but I am going to dang well try!!!!!) Stay there for a few days just to have some relaxation time.
6) From Murfreesboro we are heading to the Branson, Missouri area to camp and fish🐟⛺️ at the Lake of the Ozarks ... this stop is for my Dad and Skye! While we are there I was thinking a dinner and a show in the city, like, I wanted to go to Dolly Parton's Stampede (like we did in 2006)... I think Skye would have a BLAST watching that, and let her pet the horses. 🐎 , possibly! ... The only thing I can think of, because of Miss Parton's passing, they are going to be closed...RIP Beautiful Angel!!... but if they are closed, I am sure we will find something else to do. Stay here for a few days to explore the "mountains" (I know the Ozarks are a grouping of Plateaus and not really mountains, but its like being in the mountains) ⛰️ I'm hoping at least one night of supper will be fresh fish that we caught ourselves!! Ozark Mountains: Highlands of the United States of America!!! ⛰️🩱🐴🇺🇸
7) From Branson we are heading home... about 5 hours on the road, and we will be home!!🛣
This is going to be the trip of a lifetime!! I would love to visit other parts of the country as well, but it's unfortunately not in the cards!! I hope we all have a great experience and Skye will remember it even after I pass. I pray that she is able to do more traveling in the future. Visiting the South-Central USA 🇺🇸 has always pulled at me... and because of generous donations from people all over, we are able to accomplish it!! 🙌
Like I said above, if you know of any good spots to stop and browse, throw me a message or comment here!!! (Even if it's a creepy 🎪road-side attraction.) There has to be quite a lot of places to explore and enjoy!!
I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED for SKYE'S EXCITEMENT!!!!!! JUST around 23 days to go!!!

We were really wanting to rent a CAMPER, but unfortunately WAY out of our budget!! 😢

Hello Fellow Humans!
My name is Teresa. The picture attached is my amazing daughter, Skye! This GiveSendGo is for her. She will be graduating in May from a school for disabled adults, and then turning 21 in June. She is on the Autism Spectrum and has had a hard go at life. She was always called names, saying she was weird, had no friends. Just so sad for such a great young lady! Since she didn't have friends, she decided to hyper-fixate on nature and all its creepy crawlies to furry babies. Her wish is to go to Moody Gardens in Galveston, Texas. I would love to take her!!
Here's the catch....
In 2020, I was very sick (hospitalized for 4 months and 2 months in the Kansas Rehabilitation Hospital for physical, speech, and occupational therapy to relearn how to walk, talk, eat, and to care for myself). It was a killer on our savings, and my sickness hasn't gotten better. I was given 1 year to live. I have Stage 4 NASH (Non-alcoholic Liver Disease), a cancerous mass in my liver, and an unknown blood disorder. I would love to start a fund for my daughter to be able to go WITH me, before I get too sick to function.
Here's the catch:
We would have to drive, due to my health, and this is where the reasoning for asking for help. I have been very sick and my last doctor appointment and blood work was not the best. Prognosis isn't very good. I would LOVE to create great memories, time traveling is my best memories as a kid! I would love to share my love for traveling with her!
I am asking for help, because all the money I tried to save for this trip, was wiped out due to all my medical needs.
