Help Us Transform 175 E. 154th Street Into a Community Resource & Opportunity Center
THROW AWAY MEN CHILDREN WOMEN NFP is asking our community, supporters, churches, businesses, foundations, families and friends to join us in a major effort to transform 175 E. 154th Street in Harvey, Illinois into a permanent community resource and opportunity center.
This is more than a fundraising campaign.
This is an investment in a place. An investment in people. And an investment in the future of our community.
Our nonprofit owns the property at 175 E. 154th Street, which we are seeking to rehabilitate and develop into a community-serving facility.
Our vision is to create a place where children, women, men and families can connect with supportive resources, education, community-based programs and pathways toward greater safety, stability, belonging and self-sufficiency.

Why We Need Your Help
People in our communities often face multiple barriers at the same time. Finding housing, employment, supportive services, reentry resources, recovery assistance, family support or other resources can be difficult when people do not know where to turn.
We want to help create a place where people can come for information, connections, support and opportunity.
We envision 175 E. 154th Street becoming a welcoming community-centered facility where people can connect with resources and programs designed to strengthen individuals, families and the community.
A place where families can connect.
A place where people looking for work can find direction.
A place where individuals returning to the community can find support.
A place where community safety and violence-prevention efforts can take place.
A place where children, women and men can find support and opportunity.
A place where community members can come together.

A Property With a Purpose
