Paul and Becki Spartos

On March 4, 2026, the world stopped as Paul and his family learned of a mass on his pancreas. After two weeks of testing, he was informed he has an aggressive form of pancreatic cancer. Due to the size and position of the tumor, the doctors have begun an aggressive six-month chemo treatment to shrink the tumor. Paul has finished his first round of chemo and is expected to continue treatment in the next few months.

As Paul was finishing chemo we had another unfortunate discovery, on October 9, 2026, the woman that has been a pillar of love and support in our lives during this trying time has undergone testing for different masses in multiple regions. Becki has been diagnosed with cancer and will be undergoing chemotherapy and radiation in the next coming months. We are not certain the exact type of cancer is, but it is known that her cancer is aggressive. Becki has multiple tumors across her body, in regions including her brain, pelvic region, spine, liver, and lymph nodes.

Throughout caring for her husband, Becki has been such a light for her family. Which is why this new discovery has been so heart breaking for the Spartos family. In the midst of darkness, we’ve been so thankful for all the prayers, donations, and conversations from everyone around us. This reality has been so surreal, but as a family we are committed to staying strong in our faith and our love for each other.

A verse that Becki has clung onto in this season has been

Psalm 23:4 “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”

In the meantime, between juggling insurance, medications, and doctor’s appointments it has come to the attention of the family that we need help.

With chemo treatment comes many expenses (gas, medication, bills, time, stress, etc.). We ask for your prayers and any donation that is within your personal means be made to help ease the costs ahead for the Spartos family. Donations of any kind are welcome to the family: meals, time, even monetary.

Your donation(s) will be going toward the payments needed where insurance does not cover the whole cost of any treatments or doctor appointments. This will also assist Paul and Becki to maintain their PPO health insurance so they may both continue receiving the high-quality care that they both deserve.

Paul and Becki are true fighters and hard workers. They have spent their lives working, loving, and caring for anyone and everyone around them. In no world was this expected or wanted, but it is the reality we live in. We thank you and bless you for all help that you have provided for the family.

May you have a blessed day and weeks ahead.

Thank you,

Paul, Becki, and the Sparketz

The Spartos Clan also asks you to pray for the following:

Dear God,

We come to you in our time of need as we ask that you provide our family and friends with strength and courage that is only available from you oh Christ. For the doctors to have the required knowledge, for you to guide their healing hands. We ask Lord that you guide us in these hard times, that we seek you in our doubts and worries. That You may use your mercy and allow us all to be calm in harsh waters. Lord, we ask that Paul’s body is able to not only withstand the chemo and surgeries ahead, but that his body may overcome and build back stronger. Lord, we thank you for all these gifts that you have provided. We thank you for the time we have and the times ahead. For your mercy and love, your grace, and your warmth as they wash us all. We thank you for your Son who died on the cross so that we may delight in your glory. And that we may have this direct call upon you Lord when we know not what will happen or how, when we are scared and worried. We thank and praise you O’ God. In your name we pray.

Amen.

“For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,”

Colossians 1:9-10
