Help Eric Horridge — 44 Years Helping Others Now It's Our Turn to Show Up

(full story at https://onthedial.net/2026/10/he-spent-44-years-saving-what-others-gave-up-on-now-its-our-turn-to-show-up-for-eric-horridge/)

For 44 years, Eric Horridge spent his life helping families save what others said couldn't be saved. He built a business with his own two hands, restoring historic wooden windows, preserving homes, and saving people thousands of dollars. He was the man people called when nobody else could fix the problem.

Today, Eric is the one who needs saving.

And I'm asking you to help us show up for him.

A Family That Has Endured the Unthinkable

Eric has experienced more heartbreak than most people could imagine.

In 2000, he lost his 19-month-old son, Collin, under tragic circumstances. Somehow, he found the strength to keep going, building his business and providing for his family.

Then came a medical nightmare.

What began as a severe inguinal hernia turned into a life-threatening emergency. His abdominal wall was badly damaged, allowing organs to descend into his scrotum. Sepsis developed, and surgeons had to remove approximately four feet of his intestines, along with damaged muscle tissue.

Eric also suffered a mini stroke and was left with permanent nerve damage.

His wife, Laurie, nearly lost her husband.

And while they were fighting for his life, everything they had worked for was slipping away.

Rising expenses, shortages of specialized lumber, and other business challenges became impossible to overcome.

In October 2026, Horridge Window and Glass lost the workshop it had occupied for 19 years.

After 44 years of hard work, Eric's business was gone.

But what happened next says everything about this family.

Eric and Laurie sold their camper just to afford storage for his machinery.

They weren't trying to save a luxury. They were trying to preserve the tools that represented Eric's life's work and the possibility of another beginning.

Josh Showed Up for Me Now I'm Showing Up for Eric

Many of you know I'm fighting kidney failure and searching for a life-saving donor.

When Joshua Liljenquist showed up for me and shared my story with millions, he taught me something I'll never forget.

When somebody shows up for you, you have a responsibility to show up for somebody else.

Josh didn't have to help me. He simply saw someone struggling and decided to do something.

Now it's my turn.

I cannot ask the world to see me while ignoring someone else who desperately needs to be seen.

And that's why I'm asking you to help Eric and Laurie.

God Held the Ninety-Nine for the ONE

In Luke 15, Jesus tells us about the shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine sheep to search for the one that is lost.

Why?

Because that one matters.

God held the ninety-nine for the ONE. And so shall we!

Today, Eric Horridge is THE ONE.

One husband. One father. One family. One man who spent 44 years helping others and now needs us to return that kindness.

Here's How We Can Help

Eric and Laurie need financial breathing room to recover from this devastating chapter of their lives.

Your donations will help with medical and recovery expenses, basic living necessities, storage for Eric's specialized machinery, and the opportunity to begin rebuilding their future.

I'm also challenging the radio stations, businesses, churches, and communities throughout Dallas, Fort Worth, Denton, and beyond to help us tell Eric's story.

Somewhere out there is someone who can make a difference.

Maybe it's you.

If you can give $5, give $5. If you can give $50, give $50. If you can do more, this family could certainly use your help.

And if you cannot donate, PLEASE SHARE THIS STORY.

Because the person who can change Eric's life may be just one share away.

Let's Give This Family Something They Haven't Had Enough Of Lately

Hope.

Eric spent 44 years proving that broken things could be restored.

Now let's remind him that a broken season doesn't mean a broken future.

I know firsthand what happens when somebody decides to care.

Josh showed up for me.

I'm showing up for Eric and Laurie.

Now I'm asking you to show up with us.

God held the ninety-nine for the ONE.

And so shall we.

Let's Love Out Loud. ❤️

Please donate what you can, share this campaign, and help us give Eric and Laurie a chance to rebuild their lives.

With love and gratitude,

Steven Mills
