*** My name is Melissa, and I am a mother, former Air Force National Guard member, culinary teacher, and member of my local community. Most importantly, I am the mother of my son, Matthew, whom I have always worked hard to protect, provide for and raise with strong Christian Values. Today, I am asking for help with legal expenses as I face serious accusations that I maintain are false. This is in retaliation from an evil person from my past. I have lost my job, and have used up all my savings. I am selling my belongings, turning in cans and searching for work daily.

All funds raised through this fundraiser will be used strictly for attorney fees and court-related expenses for my defense.

I previously spent nearly ten years in a marriage that I describe as abusive and controlling before eventually leaving, and getting a divorce. A judge has granted me a restraining order in the past due to the incredibly malicious intentions of this man. His extreme intent to do whatever it will take to completely destroy my life has yet to cease. It has been more than seven years since the divorce, and I am once again facing a legal battle that is profoundly impacting my life and my son's future.

I am doing everything I can to defend myself, but the cost of legal representation and court proceedings has become more than I can manage alone. Asking others for financial help is not easy for me, but I know that I need help. This is to ensure that I can have the proper legal team needed for my case to be heard.

My family is standing beside me through this process, and I am incredibly grateful for their support. Both my mother and father have passed away, so I do not have parents to turn to for help. I am also very appreciative for anyone who is willing to come alongside us.
