Derek and Hannah Davenport’s daughter Layla was diagnosed with an aggressive form of osteosarcoma cancer.
Our hearts are with them, yet we know their hope is in Jesus.
This family has spent their lives showing up for and supporting others, carrying the burden alongside countless families, organizations and hurting people.
It’s their turn to receive, and our turn to step up and carry their burden with them. With significant costs and needs ahead as they care for Layla and give her the best path forward, there is one thing we are confident we can take off their plate: financial strain. We want Derek and Hannah to be able to focus fully on Layla and their three other children, Graven, Ezra and Isla.

About their Layla: She is such a light, so bright you can’t miss her. Maybe it’s her smile. Perhaps it’s her fun, outgoing and silly personality. Or her ability to cook better than most adults (seriously!), play classical music on the piano, or sew her very own things. Maybe it’s seeing her spin across the dance floor, cheerful and graceful. Or seeing her hold all the babies, loving on and caring for the children at every event or gathering she attends. Or watching her recite a speech and being in awe of her confidence, charisma and wit. That beautiful, smart, wonderful young girl! Dear, precious child!
