Georgia Patton is a very sick 5-year-old. She is the great granddaughter of Calvin Brown and granddaughter of Rob and Sherry Young, who have been attending our church. Georgia had strep throat, then scarlet fever, and then it rapidly turned into Staphylococcal Scalded Skin Syndrome. This is when bacterial infections release toxins, and it takes over the body.
She is being treated as a burn patient in the PICU at Mott’s. When they touch her, her skin falls off. She is on morphine for pain. She has a long road ahead of her for healing.
