Storm Warrior Ministry: Turning My Testimony Into Hope for Homeless Men
My name is Jose Delgado, and I’m the founder of Storm Warrior Ministry, a Christ-centered ministry born out of my personal testimony, my faith in Jesus Christ, and the vision I believe God has placed on my heart.
For years, I experienced homelessness and hardship. I know what it feels like to struggle, to face uncertainty, and to wonder what the future holds. But on July 10, 2025, my life took a different direction when I turned my life over to Jesus Christ. Since then, my faith has become the foundation of my life, and I have witnessed God working in ways that have given me renewed hope and purpose.
During my own journey, I began to develop a vision for something greater than myself: Storm Warrior Ministry.
My vision is to establish a Christian, Christ-centered homeless shelter and resource ministry dedicated to helping men who are experiencing homelessness, addiction, and other life struggles. I want to create a place where men can find shelter, receive practical support, grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, and begin rebuilding their lives.
The vision is to provide safe temporary housing, meals, showers, clothing, hygiene supplies, assistance obtaining identification and important documents, help pursuing employment, connections to community resources, and guidance toward stable housing. Most importantly, I want to provide an environment where men can encounter the love of Jesus, participate in Bible studies and discipleship, and discover that their circumstances do not have to define their future.
I believe that God can use our hardest seasons to give us a purpose greater than ourselves. My goal is to use what I have experienced to encourage other men who may feel forgotten, lost, or without hope. I want them to know that they are not beyond redemption, that their lives have value, and that a new beginning is possible through faith in Jesus Christ and the support of a caring community.
Why am I fundraising?
Before I can bring this vision to life, I need to establish Storm Warrior Ministry as a nonprofit organization and build the foundation necessary to serve men in need. The initial fundraising goal is $1,500 to help cover anticipated nonprofit registration and startup expenses including applicable state filing fees and the federal tax-exemption application and other organization expenses for the organization to grow.
This is the first step toward a much larger vision. Future support will help me work toward establishing a physical facility, developing partnerships with churches, connecting with community organizations, and eventually providing shelter and resources to men who need a fresh start.
I cannot accomplish this vision alone. I am asking for your support, whether through a financial donation, prayer, sharing this fundraiser, or connecting me with churches and people who may be willing to help.
Every contribution, no matter the size, can help lay the groundwork for this ministry. I also want to be transparent about where donations go as the ministry develops and as fundraising goals grow.
My prayer is that Storm Warrior Ministry will become a place where men can find hope in the middle of their storms, discover their identity in Christ, and take meaningful steps toward rebuilding their lives.
Thank you for taking the time to hear my story, consider this vision, and support the beginning of this journey.
Together, we can help men face their storms with faith, find hope through Jesus Christ, and move toward a new beginning.
