Stand With Tim in His Fight Against Cancer!

Tim was recently diagnosed with stage 4 incurable prostate cancer. This entails intensive treatment, which has resulted in him being unable to work - he is currently on short term disability through his employer so that he can focus on his health. They are grateful that he has access to this benefit, but it has drastically reduced his income. This has had a major impact on their budget, since Tim is the primary source of his family's household income. Their normal financial obligations remain the same, yet there is now a substantially increased need due to medical bills related to his treatment.

Tim’s first round of chemotherapy treatment began in August and is scheduled to go through December. This is contingent on how he is doing - his white blood cell count has to be high enough to be cleared for each infusion. Therefore, it’s possible that it will extend into the new year, though the hope and prayer is that he will be able to complete each session on schedule.

Tim grew up in Bronson, MI and Rachel in Mason, MI. They met at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, and the rest is history! They have been married for 30 years now and have 4 grown children and have recently welcomed grandchildren to their family. Tim served as a youth and worship pastor in Michigan for several years, before moving to Kentucky in order to complete his seminary master’s degree. He has served for many years on the worship team at their church.

Rachel works fulltime and is doing her best to find ways to increase her contribution to their household income.

A highlight, which is a blessing in the midst of this challenging time - their daughter is getting married soon! The wedding was originally planned for next May, but due to the uncertainty with Tim’s health, they have moved up the date in order to ensure he’d be able to attend and participate. This is an expense that they had planned on, but had anticipated having several more months to cover.

Tim and Rachel both have been faithful servants of Christ in both word and deed. They have graciously supported and blessed others time and again with a helping hand, word of encouragement, prayer, and listening ear. They have given generously of their time and resources to be of help to those around them. Now we would like to bless them in return by easing the financial burden this current situation presents.

Your support - whether it be monetary or prayer - is so very appreciated and means more than you can possibly know.

Thank you for keeping them close in thought and prayer in the coming days.
