Shawn and Micailah's Baby Boy

We have been blessed with our first baby boy this coming January. Recently we discovered some difficult news at our 20-week ultrasound. Our boy has two serious congenital heart defects (CHDs). As a result, we must give birth at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. Shortly after birth, Baby Jobin will be transferred to Boston Children's Cardiac ICU. After a few days in the CICU, he will need open heart surgery, and we are told to expect to be in Boston for at least a month. His secondary CHD presents as a complicated case and may require more recovery time or additional surgeries as well.

We are overwhelmed, shocked, nervous, but also blessed to know we have so many loving friends and family members that we can lean on. We ask for prayers for our little boy as we navigate this time. We have humbly created this page to give friends and family a space to support and donate if you feel called to do so.
