Serious Medical Condition Requires STAT surgery!

My wife, Carol Costa-Smith has been dealing with menstrual spotting off and on for a number of years. Last year she started hemorrhaging heavily. Fortunately, her Medicare had become active so we went to the UCSD ER. They did an ultrasound and found at least 7 large uterine fibroids. They just sent her home suggesting she see a Ob/Gyn. We tried unsuccessfully to get an Ob/Gyn appointment. They wouldn't call us back. In early April 2026 she was severely hemorrhaging so we went to the UCSD ER. She spent 12+ hours in the ER hallway. They led her to believe she would be getting a hysterectomy surgery that day. She had a very painful biopsy experience and nothing but ice chips for 12 hours. Then they sent her home with a prescription for progesterone. That Saturday I took Carol to Scripps ER (we weren't about to go back to UCSD) as she was again hemorrhaging and very weak. Her hemoglobin was down to 5.9. They gave her 2 units of blood and told her to schedule surgery with an Ob/Gyn Oncologist. Based on that one biopsy which was misdiagnosed as pre-cancer, the doctor began to tell Carol that they would remove her uterus, cervix, ovaries and lymph nodes. Then they would follow up with radiation & chemo. The doctor refused to discuss any other options. We sought a second opinion and got the same result. Carol had done her research and knew the ovaries provide a vital function even in post-menopausal women so she really wanted to keep them!. We spoke to a 3rd Ob/Gyn who was very nice, but told us even if we proved there was no cancer the procedure wouldn't change.

Carol knew without a doubt she didn't have cancer.

Introducing Dr. Castillo and the CIPAG clinic:

Carol's mom had Graves Disease. It was incurable, probably still is, She went to the CIPAG clinic and they saved her life. This was more than 20 years ago. Her mom died at 80 from COPD CO2 overload- not the “incurable” Graves disease..

Her younger sister had terminal cancer. Her doctors in the US took blood tests and they said she was fine.  She knew she was dying. Dr. Castillo did a thorough blood workup. She got chelation treatments which pull toxins from her blood (which doesn’t seem to be an option in the U.S) a proprietary herbal formula, a vegan diet for three months or so, and she is still here, 20 years later.

Carol's turn: We went to the CIPAG Clinic. Carol had a full blood work-up. Her liver and kidneys are great. SHE HAS NO CANCER. Her uric acid is high which she is treating with a low-purine diet. Her blood pressure was high and is being treated by medication. She still has to stay on progesterone (which raises her blood pressure and increases her risk of stroke or heart attack) to reduce the risk of hemorrhaging until she has her surgery. Once we can pay, he will do the surgery right away. She really needs it immediately!

She started her treatments on October 2, 2026. After the last two treatments she will meet again with Dr. Castillo for a follow up..

We spoke with the surgeon. He will remove her uterus and tubes and two lymph nodes. She will keep her ovaries and cervix. Thank God!
