Our daughter, Baby Grace, just turned one year old. What should have been a joyful milestone has quickly turned into something we never could have imagined.

Last week, Grace was diagnosed with metastatic neuroblastoma, a cancer that affects fewer than 500 children each year.

After going to the ER one night for routine constipation, doctors found a large 12 cm cancerous tumor (neuroblastoma) in her abdomen, and it has already spread to nearby lymph nodes. It is wrapped around her aorta and mesenteric arteries. It has metastasized to her bones but thankfully only low involvement. There is also a smaller mass located next to her esophagus. Genetic testing came back and she does not have the MYCN gene amplification which is good but they have still classified her as high risk due to other characteristics of the tumor.

High risk treatment is very aggressive and this will be a long process. She had a central line placed last week for chemotherapy treatment and blood draws. She has already started her first cycle of chemo and had 3 blood transfusions. She will also have to have bone marrow harvesting and transplant as well as radiation and immune therapy. This is a long process and will likely take over a year. We have been told we will be in and out of the hospital as well as clinic with multiple transfusions and more than likely ER visits for high temperatures as her body fights and goes through this treatment process.

As you can imagine, this has completely changed our world overnight.

We are desperately seeking the Lord, our community, strangers, friends, everyone… to rally together to strengthen, support, and SAVE Grace. Grace now requires several teams of specialists, ongoing hospital care, and intensive treatment that will include chemotherapy and possibly more depending on how things progress. We are taking this one day at a time, trusting God with each step, and leaning fully on Him for strength, wisdom, and peace.

We believe deeply that God is in control, even in this. We even see it in Grace. Her biggest comforts even in these challenging times are hearing her daily YouTube sermons, and her afternoon dose of Christian music artist Forrest Frank. Her joy in those moments light up our world, and proves the peace promised in Phillipians 4.

At the same time, the reality is that this journey will bring significant financial strain. Between significant immediate and long-term medical care, time away from work to be at Grace’s side, and additional childcare for Grace’s siblings, Jordan (8), and Piper (4), during this season… the burden is unfortunately more than we can carry alone at this time.

We are humbly asking for support in any way you feel led.

1. Prayer is the most important thing to us. We believe in the power of prayer and ask that you lift Grace up specifically for healing, strength, and protection.
2. If you feel led to give financially, we are incredibly grateful.
3. If you are able to share this with others, that means just as much.

We do not yet know the full scope of what is ahead or the total cost of treatment, but we trust that God will provide through His people and His provision.
