This is Marshall. A 12 year old retired service dog. He is a lab/shepherd mix. He and I have been partners for 11 years.
Last month, Marshall was diagnosed with advanced stage arthritis. He woke up one morning not able to walk. When he did start walking, he was limping heavily. This is something that came on rapidly. Apparently, he had been holding signs and symptoms back until he couldn't no more (according to the vet).
After numerous medications to help him walk, he now has a swollen left front leg with a rock hard knot in the middle of his shin.
We, currently, have an appointment with the vet this upcoming Friday. They will be doing blood work, x-rays and other types of test to figure out what he has.
I live on SSI. Any extra expenses totally wipes me out financially. If you find it in your heart and carefully pray about this to help us out, we would greatly appreciate it.
