Life West Is Worth Fighting For!
For nearly five decades, Life Chiropractic College West has helped educate generations of chiropractors grounded in the philosophy, science, and art of chiropractic.
Today, the future of this institution is at risk.
On February 13, 2026, the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) formally placed Life Chiropractic College West on probation, finding the institution out of compliance with all four accreditation standards.
This is not speculation. These are documented findings from the college's institutional accreditor.
The Commission identified serious concerns involving financial sustainability, conflicts of interest, board governance, transparency, and institutional accountability.
Among its findings:
•The Board violated its own conflict-of-interest policy.
Major financial decisions were made without appropriate senior management participation.
Recent budgets projected cumulative losses between $5 million and $20 million without an adequate financial recovery plan.
•The institution lacked a clear, realistic strategy for long-term financial sustainability.
•Governance and decision-making processes lacked necessary transparency.
•The October 2025 accreditation review team also concluded that the Board was not meeting its fiduciary responsibilities.
These findings demand more than promises. They demand meaningful, independent accountability.
Our Community Has Spoken.
The Faculty Senate and Alumni Association have each expressed votes of no confidence in the existing Board of Regents.
Now, a coalition of alumni, faculty, and friends of Life West is coming together to pursue lawful, meaningful change. Our objective is not to dismantle Life West.
Our objective is to preserve it.
We seek to engage independent legal counsel to investigate documented governance concerns, examine potential breaches of fiduciary responsibility, evaluate appropriate remedies, and pursue lawful pathways to board accountability and, if warranted, replacement.
A coordinated group of prospective interim board members is prepared to help provide continuity and responsible leadership should a lawful transition become possible.
Why We Need Your Support
We are seeking to raise $500,000 to support independent legal representation, document review, investigation, and potential legal proceedings.
The existing Board has access to institutional legal resources. Our coalition needs independent representation to ensure that the concerns of those committed to Life West's future receive a thorough and fair examination.
Funds will be used for qualified legal counsel and related expenses, with appropriate financial oversight and transparent reporting to donors.
Any funds remaining after the legal effort concludes will be directed toward establishing a scholarship for current Life West students, who exemplify the principles and philosophy of vitalistic chiropractic.
