Safe Home for Our Family

My girlfriend and I have been struggling since July when I injured both of my legs and lost my high-paying job. Four months later, in November, she was laid off, and we haven't financially recovered since.

We live in an apartment with serious water, electrical, and bug issues. Our landlord announced he's selling the building and has been virtually absent. We need to leave, but hotels run $3,000+ per month for our three-person household, money we don't have.

Our 8-year-old is supposed to start school on September 2nd. We're scrambling to find somewhere better because none of us can sleep well, and our water is disgusting. We adopted a small cat from someone who passed in the building, and our son is very close to her. He's autistic and very emotionally closed off, and we really don't want to separate them.

My partner is epileptic, and the stress of our situation is taking a toll.
