Supporting Baby Rowan through Heart Surgeries

Andrew and Saysha are dear friends who quietly love and support many in our community.

Today they find that they need your help in the most profound way.

Saysha delivered their first, eagerly anticipated baby boy, Rowan, in early December. Shortly after, a routine check showed that his oxygen levels were dangerously low, and they were rushed to Children’s in Denver.

Rowan has a condition called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). He was born with a tiny left side of the heart. He is going to go through a series of 3 surgeries to reshape the right side of his heart to support him living without the left side. The first surgery happened when Rowan was 9 days old, second when he was 4 months old, then the last will be in about 2-3 years. When he is around 15-20 years old, he will need a heart transplant.

Andrew and Saysha still have weekly out-of-pocket appointments and travel for Rowan, and are still adjusting to normal life. If you have the desire to give, please do so!
