A flash flood after a week of nonstop rain devastated the small town of Prachinburi, Thailand and the river overflowed. The water rose about three feet inside Ratana's apartment, destroying everything on the first floor. She managed to escape in the middle of the night by boat with only a few clothes and lost her shoes in the mud.
The rain has let up and the water receded some, but another storm is forecast for October 3-5, so Ratana has found a place to stay in the mountains.
Any contribution towards living expenses, eventual clean up and replacement of furnishings and appliances is greatly appreciated. Twenty-two people died and many like Ratana, who is 77 years old, will find it very difficult to begin again. We are praising God that He said He will never leave us or forsake us.
