Jeff and Judy Mingin welcomed their sweet baby girl, Oureana, into their family on Sunday evening, November 1st. What should have been a time of joyful celebration and precious first moments quickly turned into every parent's worst nightmare. Something was terribly wrong.
Oureana was rushed to the hospital after experiencing episodes where she stopped breathing. In the midst of a frightening and uncertain day, she was diagnosed with viral meningitis. With the seriousness of her condition and so many unknowns, Jeff and Judy were able to have their precious daughter baptized and anointed at the hospital. What a beautiful and powerful reminder of God's grace and the hope we have in Him, even in our most frightening moments.
As you can imagine, an unexpected medical emergency like this brings significant financial and practical burdens. With Judy staying at the hospital alongside Oureana and Jeff traveling back and forth to care for their four other children at home, there are many additional expenses piling up. Medical bills, transportation and gas, meals, groceries, and help with childcare are just some of the needs this family is facing.
We want to rally around the Mingin family and help carry some of this burden. Our hope is to ease the financial stress so Jeff and Judy can focus on what matters most right now: being with their precious baby girl and bringing her home healthy and safe.
