Barbara is the best friend who goes out of her way to help others whenever she is able. This time it is Barbara who needs our help.
Last summer Barbara started having problems with her leg, thinking, at first, it was a pulled hamstring. After no signs of improvement and two MRIs later, the verdict was severe sciatica, spinal stenosis, arthritis, and a couple of discs that were bulging. All options were explored yet there was nothing more to be done except surgery.
Barbara is self employed doing contract work which is very physical. She delayed the surgery as long as she could, however, it got significantly worse, and the doctor determined that unless surgery was done ASAP, permanent nerve damage could occur. Therefore, on 10/07/2026, she went in for emergency surgery. Initial recovery time is approximately 8 weeks of weight lifting restrictions and rehab, and an additional few weeks of physically building back to full time work. We are conservatively looking at 3 months of assistance needed.
Barbara needs assistance with living expenses during her recovery (living expenses and daily necessities, as well as medical expenses).
Our favorite Weather Cat Oliver will be in nursemaid mode with an infinite amount of healing purrs until she is fully recovered.
Any help you are led to give is greatly appreciated (monetarily or prayer for a quick recovery). Thank you so much!! 🙏🏼
