Our family is reaching out to ask for a little extra support for my cousin and her children during an especially difficult season.
She is a full-time working mom whose two youngest children live with cystic fibrosis. Managing CF requires frequent appointments, treatments, medications, illnesses, and unexpected hospital visits, making it incredibly difficult to maintain consistency at work while also being there for her children when they need her most.
Right now, her son, Brayden, is struggling with his health and is facing an upcoming hospital stay to help get him well. His mom needs to take time away from work to be by his side, care for him, and focus on getting him through this next chapter.
Taking unpaid time away from work is a tremendous financial strain, especially while caring for a family with ongoing medical needs. The last thing she should have to worry about while her son is in the hospital is how she is going to keep up with everyday expenses.
We are asking for help to give her and her family some breathing room during this difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the amount, can help with bills, groceries, travel to and from the hospital, and other everyday expenses while she takes the time she needs to care for Brayden.
