🔥🏠 Our family’s life was forever changed in an instant when a house fire swept through our home. It started with a simple electrical glitch that quickly escalated into a devastating blaze, leaving our once cozy abode unrecognizable. The walls, air conditioning vents, and even the T.V., all melted under the relentless heat of this unexpected tragedy.

As we stood amid the ashes, heartbroken but grateful for our safety, one thing became crystal clear: rebuilding was not just about restoring what we had lost, it was about regaining a sense of normalcy and security for ourselves and our two young children.

Our children were in the home when the fire broke out, my amazing 12 year old son rushed to the nearest neighbor who was coincidentally home during the day. My kids were off for spring break and I was at work over 20 minutes away. Thank God that the Middleton/Star Fire Department was near by doing a fire drill with their fire trucks ready to roll. They were able to respond to our house fire with in 5 minutes of the 9-1-1 call. I cannot express what a blessing the Middleton Fire Department is to our community. With out them responding in such a timely manner we would have lost everything, including the home.

We’ve been blessed with an outpouring of support from friends and family during this time, including being generously donated an Air BNB to stay in for a few days as we sort through the chaos left by the fire. But beyond sheltering us temporarily, there are real needs that need addressing: school for our children who love learning in Middleton, maintenance on our beloved mini farm, not to mention replacing everyday essentials like clothes and furniture.

This journey has shown us how interconnected we all truly are. It’s humbling to accept help when you need it most, yet knowing that the community is standing with us makes every burden lighter. Every little bit helps us replace essential items for the kids’ school and daily life as we prepare ourselves for what comes next: finding new housing and making this house a home again.
