Dear Friends,
As many of you know, our sisterhood, which supports our mission "Uteshiteljevo" ("The Paraclete") outside of Belgrade, has not been able to finish our monastic house after ten years of living on this property. The film shared in this campaign is from six years ago; we have improved our living conditions somewhat by moving into a "container" house, better than the wooden hut we used to live in! But to finally finish our real house would be a great comfort and help for our community, especially for the aged and ailing in the future who will no longer be able to live in the rugged environment of our main monastery, Mikul Rock.
UPDATE AS OF 2026:
After thinking about our church and monastery's needs, we've decided to restructure the organization of Uteshiteljevo - so the original house shown in this campaign two years ago is going to be repurposed as a much-needed parish house for the Uteshiteljevo parish. It is still being worked on but we are optimistic about it being usable soon!
Instead, we have built the smaller but entirely adequate house shown in the gallery, which is perfect for our sisters' needs and even includes a little chapel.
You can see a little video tour of the house here: https://youtube.com/shorts/XRpnLSsYh24?feature=share
However, with fluctuating building material prices, we are still short of funds to complete the house and need around 4000 euros or 5000 dollars to finish the work.
Thank you so much for your love and support!
Much love in Christ,
Your Sisters
