We are fighting for more ordinary days with Momma Robin
Our mom is the person who held this family together without ever asking to be the center of it.
Sophie is 5. Magnus is 1. When they come through the door, they still run to her. They call her Namma Robin. Dad — Papa Don — has loved her for more than forty years, and he has not left her side.
We are her children. We are asking you to stand with us.
Liver cancer came first. While at work, my mother suddenly collapsed, asymptomatic up until that point. They discovered the liver cancer shortly after. While she was still recovering from the shock of that news, doctors found bone cancer too.
She went into treatment at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.
Two cancers. One woman. A family trying not to fall apart.
Dad has not left her side. We are asking you not to leave ours.
The bills arrived faster than we could catch our breath
The initial phase of treatment and surgeries at Baylor was $48,000.
Momma Robin maxed out their credit cards to cover an emergency surgery and hospital costs.
Out of pocket, our family has already spent more than $60,000.
And the bills have not stopped. Ongoing cancer care — more treatment, more scans, more medications — is still stacking up. This is the beginning of the fight, not the end.
We cannot let a bill be what takes her from us.
How every gift will be used
100% of donations go to Momma Robin’s medical bills. Not to a middleman. Not to anything else.
- The $48,000 initial phase of treatment and surgeries at Baylor
- Emergency surgery and hospital costs already charged to credit cards
- Ongoing liver-cancer and bone-cancer care, scans, and medications
- The $60,000+ already paid out of pocket, and the invoices still coming
If $25 is what you have, it matters. If $100 is what you have, it matters. There is no gift too small to lighten this load.
If you cannot give, please still help
Most of the people who can help will never see this unless someone they trust puts it in front of them.
Share this page. Text it to one sibling. Post it to a church group. Say her name. Keep her in your prayers.
A share is a gift of its own.
Please stand in the gap for our mom
She has spent her life taking care of everyone else. Now we are asking friends, church family, neighbors in Mount Vernon, Texas, and anyone with a kind heart:
Please help us give Momma Robin more ordinary days — more mornings with Papa Don, more arms around Sophie and Magnus, more time as Namma Robin.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for caring. Thank you for anything you can do.
