With sheer determination, and some serious physical therapy (imagine me doing battle with those stairs again—but for real this time!), I made my way home, bit by bit. And just when life seemed to smooth out a tad too much, another curveball: losing the apartment due to long-term care implications.

Now picture that? Picture feeling like you’re finally back on track but then being tripped up again right before reaching for success? Yeah, heartbreak. But here comes the silver lining! I might be down (or so it feels), but not out – and neither are my dreams of stability and independence. 💪

Which brings us to today: fighting a different battle. Bills still need paying, life’s little expenses continue piling up despite good days turning into weeks now.
