Man of God with no home rescues others-Bloomfield

My name is Cecilia and I have known Joseph basically his entire life closely at early ages and then in passing as life marched on returning back to closely as we all aged but in a town as small as ours you know how it goes. In the last year or so my family has taken Joseph back under our wing as he was attempting to put his life back in order and with help from his church family and the many acquaintances in the community it seemed to be a long but pretty decent path. Unfortunately though on his journey the place Joseph lives which is under the bridge on Hwy 550 was washed out during the flood. I along with his pastor Ryan R. are raising money for Joseph Barela. Joseph is a man of God with no home who selflessly woke from where he sleeps under the bridge and saved people from the current devastating floods in Bloomfield, NM. Joseph ended up getting swept away in the flood, but he was rescued by the grace of God. Any donations will help cover structure which we hope to be a tiny shed or trailer in decent shape, we do have offers we are just finding the most economical option for him. The trailer needs batteries and small propane tanks for utility setup to help him get a safer and warmer place to be. The funds will also go to and zoning, permits, paperwork etc to set it up. Additionally another storm is/did pass through reflooding the bridge so we got a discount to get him a room for a few nights to keep him out of the flood path while he slept. We are moving as fast as possible so that he does not exhaust all funds just trying to stay dry in a room before he can spend them on a place that is more stable. Joseph does not just "want" these things for free he would love to work and earn all his blessings. We also very much welcome you to meet Joseph because to meet him is to love him .
