Our Adoption Fund

Hi there,

We are fundraising to adopt a baby! God has put adoption on our hearts for a long time, so when someone close to Mattias, whom he has known nearly his entire life, approached us and asked us to adopt her baby we said yes on the spot! God has been so clearly moving through this situation and uniquely positioned us to help this precious birth mom, who has had so much courage and bravery in leaving an abusive situation and making such a difficult decision for her baby.

This sweet baby girl is due in January so we are fundraising for the following non-refundable expenses:

1. Adoption attorney fees (~$10,000)
2. Birth mom's adoption attorney fees (~$10,000)
3. Home study fees (~$3,000)
4. Getting our home ready for another child ($500)
5. Whatever other expense we might incur in adding another member to our family

While we may make the best plans that we can, there is a great deal of uncertainty in this situation. Birth dad may not agree to the adoption plan and may entrench mom in a custody battle. In this scenario, this is how the funds will be used after covering the above expenses:

1. Attorney fees for birth mom for getting custody (~$10,000)
2. Helping birth mom adjust to being a single mom (living expenses, childcare, etc.)
