Protect Our Community is the public-facing name of Hold The Line Ministries, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, with one clear mission:
Preparing you to protect what matters most.
We provide professional firearms, self-defense, situational awareness, and emergency medical training to everyday people—completely free of charge.
That is what we mean by:
Free Training. Always.
But this isn’t once-and-done training.
Our programs are designed for people to return again and again—to learn, practice, progress, and develop the real-world skills and muscle memory they may one day need to protect themselves and the people they love.
What This Campaign Will Accomplish
Our goal is to raise $450,000 to fully launch the first Protect Our Community Service Area in Central Pennsylvania and fund its first year of operation.
Approximately $194,000 will provide the infrastructure and equipment needed to deliver professional training, including:
- Student firearms, optics, holsters, belts, hearing protection, and safety equipment
- Emergency medical and CPR/AED training equipment
- Target systems and range equipment
- Classroom equipment
- A fully equipped training trailer
- An all-weather live-fire training pavilion
- Development of a dedicated range bay
Approximately $230,000 will fund the first year of Phase 1 operations, including:
- 48 firearms training sessions serving up to 768 participants
- 12 self-defense training sessions serving up to 360 participants
- 12 emergency medical training sessions serving up to 360 participants
- Professional instructors and program leadership
- Ammunition and training supplies
- Insurance, technology, administration, and community outreach
- Equipment maintenance and replacement
The remaining funds will help cover payment-processing costs, unfinished vendor quotes, price changes, and other startup needs.
The Community Impact
During the first year alone, Phase 1 is designed to provide:
- 72 professional training sessions
- Approximately 1,300–1,500 free training opportunities
- Approximately 3,300–4,500 student training hours
- Access to professional training for approximately 1,000 new community members
Every donated resource, volunteer hour, partnership, sponsorship, and in-kind contribution reduces our operating expenses. Those savings remain in the community and are reinvested into additional free training, instructor development, equipment, range improvements, and future expansion.
