Crowdfunding Campaign to Cover the Costs of Unmet Medical Needs

Early this year (03/04/25) she was diagnosed with Triple-negative Invasive Ductal & Lobular Breast Cancer, which is an aggressive type of acute cancer. TNBC differs from other types of invasive breast cancer in that it tends to grow and spread faster, has fewer treatment options, and tends to have a worse prognosis (outlook). She had two (2) breast tumors, that had also spread to her lymph nodes.

The term triple-negative invasive breast cancer refers to the fact that the cancer cells don’t have estrogen or progesterone receptors (ER or PR) and also don’t make any or too much of the protein called HER2. (The cells test "negative" on all 3). She was stage 3b, and 4 - was considered terminal.

Kelsey had worked in Memory Care and in the Healthcare Field for the past five (5) years, and has dedicated herself to providing a better quality of life for both Alzheimer’s/Dementia Residents; which anyone who knows her could easily see that she loves on them and treats them ALL, as family.

As a single, 31-year-old (self-supporting young woman, who lives on her own) this diagnosis took away the ability for her to work in a career that she really loves. So, with regret she had to resign from her salaried position to obtain a better quality of insurance coverage, allowing her to focus on her health, nutrition, prayer, and her alternative and tradition treatment - regimens.

People (like her) diagnosed with a life-altering illnesses experience multiple types of medical expenses that generate financial distress and strain their income. Many turn to medical crowdfunding (MCF) to mitigate the harms of these costs on their health and quality of life.

This is why, as her family and friends, we have set-up a fundraiser through Give Send Go (a Care & Capital Campaign) in order to help support some of her alternative healthcare, medical, and nutritional expenses; and offset any of her unmet monthly expenses, such as: rent and living expenses over the next year, while she continues to fight through this extremely difficult battle.

Her journey began nine (9) months ago, when she had a port inserted for sixteen (16) weeks of Chemotherapy and immunotherapy, followed by another surgery; which included a double-mastectomy. Then, recently, she had twenty (20) days straight of extremely painful radiation therapy.

In the next couple of weeks, she will begin immunotherapy for another seven (7) seven months to begin rebuilding her body’s immune system. They will then plan to remove her port, and she will undergo a few reconstructive surgeries, before being able (medically cleared) to return back to work.

It is really hard to ask family and friends for financial support, but she is in need due to both alternative and medical bills, and basic living expenses piling-up, she really needs the support. Thank You for your consideration in advance.
