To all those concerned about Truth and Justice!

We are reaching out to the community during this very difficult time for our Dear brother and friend Shomari Legghette, who was wrongfully convicted in 2020 and is now serving a natural life sentence stemming from the unfortunate death of Chicago Police Commander Paul Bauer, that happened in 2018

.

Certain aspects of this case were covered up which made it impossible for him to have a fair trial. This was made possible due to complicit patterns of practice by certain Chicago Police and Cook County State of Attorneys that had involvement in this case and prosecution. 

Now our aim is to raise funds in order for him to retain effective assistance of counsel through Attorney Douglas Johnson who will be essential in navigating him beyond this dilemma.
